CII: A Leader in Construction Research and Development
Non-Profit Consortium Provides Platform for Collaboration and Innovation
The Construction Industry Institute (CII), based at The University of Texas at Austin, has released a new set of Best Practices for the construction industry. CII is a non-profit consortium of more than 130 leading owner, engineering-contractor, and supplier firms from both the public and private sectors.
CII's Best Practices are processes or methods that, when executed effectively, lead to enhanced project performance. They have been proven to improve project outcomes in areas such as cost, schedule, safety, and quality.
"CII's Best Practices are a valuable resource for the construction industry," said Dr. Tomme R. Heindel, CII's executive director. "They provide a roadmap for success that can help project teams achieve their goals."
The new Best Practices cover a wide range of topics, including:
- Project planning and management
- Design and construction
- Operations and maintenance
- Safety
- Sustainability
CII's Best Practices are available to CII members and non-members alike. For more information, please visit CII's website at www.construction-institute.org.
